Being Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Affairs is a staggering responsibility, bringing Mr. Alaskary in contact with every ministry in the Saudi government, and many around the world. He is directly responsible for all communications and reception of VIPs from abroad; and coordinating visits and delegations with the Royal Protocol Department, if the King has granted an audience. He also is responsible for coordinating planning with other Saudi ministries if the logistics require transportation, security, accommodations etc. for visiting dignitaries.
